Prommy ENM runs -- Saturday 6pm, EST Empty
PostSubject: Prommy ENM runs -- Saturday 6pm, EST   Prommy ENM runs -- Saturday 6pm, EST EmptyMon Jan 28, 2008 5:40 pm

What is it? The prommy ENMs are 3 ENMs that takes place in the Promy lands, to provide completers with exp and potentially gil.
--An ENM is a battlefield fight with a boss monster who must be defeated, no exp is lost in ENM battlefields, and upon completion exp is gained, and runs can only be done once every 5 days.

When is it? Saturday at 6pm, EST (11pm GMT)-- inform me if you wish to have a schedule change.

What is the purpose? Like any other BCNM, KSNM or ISNM, there is a chance for a good-gil drop. Also, unlike the other ~NMs, exp is awarded upon completion (worthwhile even without the gil incentive). 3k exp per ENM is awarded, so if we are successful 9k+ exp will be netted from the run (you may also get some, smaller, exp on the trip upwards as well).

What are the requirements? A level 30 job and gear. It is level capped, so if you are above 30 that is fine, but make sure you have the gear to do it. Get the gear ahead of time so we don't have to spend hours scrounging around waiting for you. You also need to have the Censors. These can be obtained from Venessa (Hume lady standing next to the exit out of Ru'Lude Gardens), so long as you have finished the CoP cutscenes (the one in Qufim Island's tower, and the ones in Jeuno, if you have access to Prommies, you have finished them), and so long as you haven't done a prommy-ENM in less than 5 days. Whitemages need reraise (preferably an earring, considering up to 6 charges will be used), and other jobs need their corresponding needs (food, ninja tools, bard instruments, ect.)

How does it work? Once we have the party built, and everyone has checked to have their censors, we will teleport to the crags, and enter the Promyvion world. Once we are all inside, we move together to find a "Memory Receptacle." Everyone will kill all surrounding Strays, then one DD will be assigned to kill any spawning Strays, while the rest destroy the Memory. DDs should keep their backs to the pillars so they aren't blown too far away. Once killed it will either create a passage to the next floor, or do nothing. If it does nothing, move together (possibly after resting) to find another. If it creates a passage everyone must go up as soon as possible. There are four floors total, of progressing difficulty, the 4th floor is extremely difficult, so aggro must be avoided at all costs. The whm needs to be protected and have reraise up. Once in the Spire everyone will rest to full, and instructions will be given out on how to precede from there.

What is the setup? Most any job is useful for these ENMs, although the typical setup is as shown:

1-2 Healers
2 Tanks
1-2 Support
2-4 Damage Dealers

---

Most prefered jobs: Whitemage (next to required, if there isnt one, everyone must bring all their own reraisers). Summoner, Ranger, and Warrior/Ninja are also sought after. Ninja and Paladin can tank effectively (although if Ninja is tanking, there needs to be a backup tank for them). Basically all other jobs fall into their subjective categories, and will be as useful as in a normal exp party.

A few setups I have done in the past: [whm, smn, blm, pld, nin, sam], [whm, smn, nin, blu, pld, sam], [whm, smn, nin, dnc, war, sam]

The Details: There are 3 ENMs; Dem, Holla, and Mea. Each have their own varying details. All have NMs that tend to spawn out subNMs

Dem: "You Are What You Eat"
The easiest of the three, there is a Gorger type mob (Ticky!!!!) which will spawn out a few weaker mobs. No 2-hours are usually needed on this one. No meds and rarely need any Animas.

Potential drops:

Summoning Earring
Dark Earring
Enfeebling Earring
String Earring
Buckler Earring
Clusters

Mea: "Playing Host"
More difficult than Dem, two hours most likely will be used (although we need to save some for Holla), Antidotes can be handy, and Animas are handy if brought. Mob is a craver type (big tall dude), and spawns some lil guys too.

Potential Drops:

Ninjutsu Earring
Elemental Earring
Wind Earring
Augmenting Earring
Guarding Earring
Clusters

Holla: "Simulant"
About as difficult as Mea, two hours can be handy here as well, although not necessarily needed. The mob can AoE sleep, so poison pots are handy for members, Animas are always handy but not necessarily needed. The NM is a thinker type (stout lumpy dudes) and like the others, has a few lil followers he spawns.

Potential Drops:

Divine Earring
Singing Earring
Evasion Earring
Parrying Earring
Healing Earring
Clusters

----- Overall clusters are the most common drops, although the Visions (used to make the aforementioned earrings) can drop as well. I personally have seen an Elemental Earring (~1mil) and a Ninjutsu Earring (~100k, I bought from winner).

Lotting rules: Like every other exp party, don't lot on things that drop into party, unless your going to be warping between runs and need want to transform an Anima. In regards to the ENM drops, anything under 100k will be free lots, and everything above will be sold on AH and split amongst participating members (those who were there for that particular drop, so a list will be written once it drops, if it drops).

Final Notes: This is for the Prommy ENM. Not for the prommy missions. If you want the missions done, depending upon the time, we will do the ENM of that Crag FIRST and THEN do the mission if everyone agrees and we still have the animas/2-hours/materials/people to do it. You can complete an ENM and then warp out to spire again to do the Mission fight, but you cannot do the mission fight then warp to do ENM, so ENMs will *ALWAYS* be first.

If you need the missions done, there are always plenty of other opportunities, this is for a group of people who have a faint idea of what to do, and are in it for gil and exp, however doesn't mean we cannot do the missions while we are there, so inform us before we start that you'd like to get it done. Depending on how fast we climb and how hard the ENM fight is we will consider to do the mission fight. However, you must understand that it is not guaranteed and I don't want any complaining if we don't do it, people have time constraints and most who join this won't be after the prommies, but rather the ENM, so ENM takes priority.

Lastly, if this is successful and others wish to do this again, we can make it a static of sorts and hold it every Saturday to assist new ppl in getting their prommies done, and to give a consistant chance at making money and exp.

FYI, I unlocked this forum, so others can post in here again, in case you didn't want to due to previous attempts.

----------------------------

Anyone who is interested, please inform me, either by /tell in game, or by posting here. It is a 6 person battlefield, however more people can enter (with an EXP cut, so like 7 would probably be 2800exp each). But I would prefer to keep it to a small concise group of 6. Try to inform me as soon as possible, so I can ask around some friends and see how many slots I need to fill for Saturday.

PostSubject: Re: Prommy ENM runs -- Saturday 6pm, EST   Prommy ENM runs -- Saturday 6pm, EST EmptySun Feb 03, 2008 1:15 am

Ok, so we did our first run, wasn't the best, wasn't the worst.

Members: Xedal (PLD), Nostradameus (escorter then rep)(WHM/RNG), Gilien (PLD), Laisteinsight (WHM), Meemo (DNC), Dimaine (BLM), Sidi (NIN/WAR)

Setup 1 (DEM): pld, pld, dnc, whm, blm, nin
Setup 2 (MEA): pld, dnc, whm, blm, rng, war

What went wrong?

Dem: too defensive, we won, but we really had to keep at it and it was really close. Had very few damaging abilities.

Mea: Just bad luck. No animas to help, and didnt get any 2hours off, but mainly rather poor teamwork. No offense to anyone, but the tank was barely able to keep hate at start, too many ppl over-dmged it at start, leading to death and damage aroundabout the party.

What should we do?

Next time, we need a more balanced party, so anyone planning on going put a list of your jobs that you can go, and prioritize them as what you prefer. We may have you on another job. Then, we'll get a few animas and stuff for next round. We'll make sure that pt is steady, no super-dmg in begining. Oh, another big thing I noticed, none of the mages were resting when not curing/nuking... Definitly need to keep mp up, rest whenever you can, the dancer can cover heals for a min, and mob will still be dying, slowly maybe, while regaining mp on blm. Mages might want to try cookies for quicker mp regain, and if still not good on mp, try a few yagudo drinks following times.

I still want to keep this as med-less as neccesarily, so we'll keep trying until we get a good strategy.

Other thing to note, we took way too long alltogether.. I really was expecting it to be 2-3 hours at most, was about that long before we even finished first one, so we need to keep on task, be ready on time, and just go...

Hopefully Lai can tele by next one or sometime soon so we can move from port to port fastly...

Any comments, please post. Also tell us who's coming and what jobs, realy want to know AHEAD of time.

I don't know that I am going to be able to go on Sat. So Sidi if you want to find someone to replace me I wouldn't be disappointed. Also If there are others that want to do these runs on Sunday or what ever Please let me know I would like to do it then. Maybe Someone who could lead the way because I have no Idea where I would be going. The same rules would apply for a run on Sunday as if it were to be the Saturday run.

Ah... >.<;;

Well I can't go Sundays... I have Einherjar at 6pm and Nyzul at 10pm, both of which gathers early >_<;;;

But if you wanted someone to try to setup a separate run for it, that'd work =/

well I suppose that I could just wait and do it next saturday or maybe we could push it back in time but that wouldn't be fair cause I won't be off till 4:30p.m pst time so I will just wait and see and maybe I can find enough people on on sunday that want to do the run.
